Nurture

The Nurture groups provide consistency and staff deliver a range of subjects within a familiar environment and style. Poles APart AP caters to a range of complex emotional and social needs. Young people may come to us with a range of diagnoses including Autism. Our Nurture groups are designed with a calming and supportive approach. Young people are supported to feel comfortable and regulated. We structure the groups according to their personalities, conditions, their individual needs and their aims and goals.

Staff who work in this area are highly experienced and trained in alternative delivery methods and therapeutic approaches. Building relationships is what we pride ourselves on and we aim to help young people develop calmness, trust and comfort. We provide a supportive environment in which our young people can express themselves. We provide core subject learning, which is delivered in an outdoor environment. We use nature and the wider world to give topics context. This approach develops social skills and aids communication and relationships with others.
